Party People,
Los Angeles in past few years (2000- 2004)
has had one of the largest
house music crowds in the country.
It is now 2007
and we are ready for the
love of underground house music
to come back to LA.
SO here's the deal:
Saturday February 10th, 2007
we are having a GRAVITY...
this gravity we have brought together
some of the most exhilarating, amazing,
(and whatever adjective or adverb you can add)
talent from the 3 major cities in Cali
and of course Chicago.
These guys have been representing
thier cities and what house is all
about for many years now.
Eric Davenport - Los Angeles, CA
Eric Davenport has had asses shakin' in over 70 cities worldwide with his
trademark sound of soulful vocals & jazz rhythms layered over funked up
jackin' beats. Having now been a dj & producer since 1992, he is considered
one of the true pioneers of the underground dance circuit.
John Howard - San Francisco, CA
For well over a decade, John Howard has been lending spirit and talent to
legendary events on both coasts such as Boogie Buffet, Together, and Shelter.
His endeavors have carried him around the world on a deep, funky, spacey sound
that has secured his spot as one of house music's greatest DJs.
Mark E. Quark - San Diego, CA
For nearly twenty years, Mark E. Quark - self-proclaimed "music nerdo numero
uno" - has been turning dance floors on with his inimitable and supertuned
musical selections. Getting his start way back in 1988 in San Diego while
launching the underground house scene, he then relocated to SF where talent
and inspiration expanded, momentum gained and history was made.
Johnny Fiasco - Chicago, IL
To put it lightly, Johnny Fiasco is.well.a HOUSEhold name when it comes to the
music we all love. His ingénue began alongside legends like Derrick Carter and
Mark Farina, and his contributions to the Chicago house sound have been
archived as some of the greatest. His productions have a flavor all their own
and are played worldwide - we are truly blessed to be graced by his funky self
at Gravity!
Let's give it up for these guys because they have been killing it for so
long.
We think that we can show these dj's that Los Angeles is still the place with
all the bass.
Much love,
Distant Beat Posse/ AND / Universal Rhythm
