Ok I have been in the club scene here in Los Angeles
for 20 yrs. The first club I walked into was Rayond
Rokers club called ORBIT. Its was called techno.
I have seen many djs through the yrs and have watched
and waited and danced my ass off. If i am on the
dancefloor and you are spinning I need to hear and
feel your passion for the music. Some djs have it some
don't. Some lose it and get it back. Take me over the
top. Drop me off the cliff and take me there. Bring it
damnit. Its true that listening to CDS in your car or
at home have a certain element to them but when you
are in a club or in your car you want to feel the
passion. The passion for djing and the passion for
music.
Personally I was out last night at two spots...one was
at Boardners for JT Donaldson and then I went over to
Deeper Moods. Have to tell you I felt no passion at
either spot last night. In fact I was disappointed
with both spots. Felt no passion EXCEPT on the patio
at Boardners...drum and bass and you know why? I could
feel the djs passion. Passion for the music he was
playing and passion for djing. Call me crazy.
I suppport DJs hardcore. Those who know me know I come
to dance and listen to the music you want to play for
me. I come to clubs to hear you the dj cause I enjoy
your music and the way you spin it. I am always
dancing UNLESS I can't feel you and I must say its
rare. Like last night. Hell maybe I was in a mood but
I don't think so cause I was ready to get my groove on
and nobody brought it. I even keep thinking its gonna
change. And other good friends felt the same way and
they feel music and have passion for it like I do.
Don't ever lose your PASSION
Thats my 2 cents and I am sticking too it!
Felisa
oh and we all have off nights so I will catch you next
time when your passion is more of a feeling
