[Dynagroove] why Daft Punk?

Steven, I think you're over analyzing it. Daft Punk has been around for a
long time, and for some of us hold a very sentimental value. Not everything
you listen to, or go see has to be ground breaking. Sometimes you just have
to let go and enjoy things for what they are. More heart, less brain.

can someone please help me understand what all the daft punk hype is about?
What is it about them that makes you willing to shell out big buck$$ for tix
to
be in a giant sports arena to hear their tunes?
no disrepect to them, but to me it is nothing really new or groundbreaking.
I hear their music moreless as sample laden filtered disco. obviously
catchy, but in a
ringtone/jingle sort of way.
Can you point out to me what part of their frequently used formula
gets you so excited, and makes you eager to spend money to see them?
robot voice/vocoder?
robot costume?
instruments?
bass?
filters?
message?
what does it for you?

i will then apply this newfound knowledge into hearding the masses!
thanks!
