The SQL Database Administrator works in all phases of database
administration, including installation, configuration, replication,
physical and logical database design, performance tuning, writing stored
procedures and triggers, maintaining security, troubleshooting, providing
advanced support, and managing backup and recovery plans. The SQL DBA will
support production, test, and development environments.

Qualified candidates must be highly knowledgeable of design and
administration best-practices. Extensive hands-on experience is required.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- At least 3 years intensive, hands-on experience in SQL database
administration of SQL 2000 and SQL 2005
- DBA experience must include SQL installation, configuration, physical
and logical database design, performance tuning, maintaining security,
troubleshooting, and managing backup and recovery plans
- Experience with large databases (50 GB+) and efficient query design
- Knowledge of SQL Server Clustered Environment(s), replication a plus
- Strong experience with SQL replication, DTS and SSIS
- Proficient in developing stored procedures, triggers, views and
functions in SQL
- Certification as a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) is
