Outside of going to ULTRA last year in Miami, I hadn't been to a 'massive'
in probably 5 years or so. I was shocked and surprised at what the scene
has, for the most part, become. The only thing I think has changed is that
there are a lot more scantilly-dressed 15 and 16 year olds.

I bought a VIP ticket so that I could see all of the OM DJs. After finding
out that they were turning that stage into a general admission stage, I was
pretty pissed. But, once I got to the venue and saw the line, I quickly
realized how lucky I was that I purchased a VIP ticket; I got in the gates
in about 10-15 minutes.

For the majority of the night, I only rotated back and forth between the VIP
lounge and the house room. Fred Everything was the shit. Colette was the
shit. Farina was the shit. Unfortunately, the woman who makes me move like
no other woman, Heather, disappointed me. It just didn't sound like her on
Saturday night. Not that the set wasn't bangin', it just wasn't her normal
stuff. Same with Andy Caldwell. It was also bangin', but I was looking
forward to a groovier, deeper closing set.

Overall, I had a great time. Many old school heads I used to party with
back in '99,'00, and '01 came out for it. For most of us, we hadn't been to
one in 5-7 years and the unexpected reunion between many of us made the
night.
