WOW! If only every weekend could be as much fun as this weekend was.

Friday noon: Very Be Careful at the California Plaza. If you've never
been to a "Grand Performance" at the CA plaza, GO sometime this summer!
If you've never heard VBC, GO hear them sometime this summer! Friday's
performance was simply lovely. Lovely music, lovely atmosphere,
altogether lovely way to spend my Friday afternoon

Friday evening: "Fridays off the 405" at the Getty. Again, if you've
never been to one of these, GO sometime this summer. Unfortunately this
month's music was NOT very good, but how can anyone be grumpy at the Getty
with such a fun crowd and a glass of wine watching the sunset?

Friday night: "Get Fresh" WOW AM I GLAD I WENT TO THIS PARTY!!!!! Wobs,
Wally and Jose put it DOWN! I had soooooo much room to dance (since so
few of you were there) and did I ever work it out!!! Even DJ Sneak was in
the house, chillin. I even saw him doin a little house shufflin during
Wally's set. I can't say enough good things about this party... if you
missed it, you have NO IDEA!!

Saturday: "Skin" Pool party at the Sunset Standard Hotel. Vikter Duplaix
and Garth Trinidad laid down some luscious poolside grooves while I laid
out on my $5.00 rented towel (Yes, i brought my own, no they wouldn't let
me use it, yes they charged me $5 to "rent" one. Nuff said.) The crowd was
really an interesting mix of Hollywood types...

Saturday night: "Space is the Place" Roller Disco party at World on
Wheels. I seriously had a RIDICULOUS amount of fun. I was actually
screaming at one point("OW!!!") because I was so happy. LONG before i was
old enough to go to clubs (age 8-13) my mom and I would go roller skating
religiously every Tuesday for "Ladies Night." As soon as I laced up my
skates last Saturday, I was instantly taken back to that extremely happy
place. The music was great, the crowd was HILARIOUS (they seriously WIPED
OUT American Apparel of short shorts and tube tops), and everybody was
having a great time. When we needed a break we would go upstairs for a
drink. I was so eager to get back to the rink that I was doing shots
instead of ordering beers (i RARELY do shots, and I NEVER suggest them.)
Again, if you haven't been skating in the last 10 years, GO this summer!
This party happens on the last Saturday of every month.

Sunday afternoon: I really didn't think the pool party could be MORE FUN
than the roller rink, but COT DAMN!!! IT WAS!!! The Sacred Grounds guys
played some seriously proper house tunes and then Sneak went on and
straight BLEW IT UP. That place was out of control!!!! I am usually a
little hesitant to dance in a bikini (you feel me, right ladies??) but I
seriously could not stay on my towel no matter how hard I tried. The
highlight of the day however, was watching the firefighters who were
"working' the event dancing and taking pictures. TOO FUNNY!!!

Can EVERY weekend PLEASE be this fun??????
