[Dynagroove] Amy's Park Party review

I enjoyed yet another lovely BodyRock in the Park.

I feel SO terrible for for poor Marcus and Ben. I have NEVER seen either
of them SO stressed. The saddest part about their stress is that more
than anything, they were worried that people would be mad at THEM about
the alcohol permit issues. I kept reassuring Ben that everyone understood
the situation and that no one would accuse them of the ole "bait and
switch." I hope no one will prove me wrong.

ALthough I LOVE Griffith Park (it's my favorite place to go in the city) I
have to say that all things considered, I really don't think it makes a
better location than Woodley Park for this party. Perhaps there are some
issues with Woodley of which I am unaware, but when I take into account
the freedom to do pretty much WHATEVER we want there, as well as the
cheaper price of the permit, it just seems like the easier place to do a
party. I really respect Marcus and Ben for trying someplace new,
unfortunately the change of venue created some very unnecessary stress
for them. I will of course show up to every Body Rock park party
regardless of location. These guys do parties for all the right reasons.
All they care about is that everyone has a good time. I know I did on
Saturday. I hope the problems on Saturday will not deter them from
throwing another park party in the future. I am more than happy to help
make it happen in any way I can!

That half hour with all the flying stuff was just ridiculous. I have no
voice today from all the laughing I did on Saturday, mostly at all off us
who failed miserably at hitting those gigantic badmitten things. Wow, I
sucked at that.

Something very unexpected happened to me at the party... I met one of my
future students! One of my colleagues was at the party, and was approached
by a young man who introduced himself as a 7th grader from our school.
When I heard about this young man, I had to meet him and his parents. I
introduced myself to him as his future science teacher. I seriously never
thought I would run into one of my students at a BodyRock party! It's a
good thing I was on my best behavior!

I hope you all had as much fun as I did on Saturday, and will Let Marcus
and Ben know how much you appreciate all their hard work.

5 weeks until school's out!
