To be honest, I really wasn't looking forward to Sneak's set.

DJ Sneak was one of my FAVORITE DJs when I was going to house events
around the midwest in the mid 1990's.

But the last few times I've heard him play in LA, I was really... bored.
I felt like he just banged me over the head with a 2x4 at 130 bpm for 2
hours straight, too hard and fast to really even hear any melodies...

I was however looking forward to hearing Wally, as he has always been one
of my favorite local DJs...

So when I got to the party I thought for sure I'd be standing around from
1-3 while waiting for Wally to go on.

WAS I WRONG.

As soon as Sneak dropped his FIRST record, I could tell I we were in for a
treat... record after record he made me dance, hoot and holler. I
couldn't believe how many of my favorite midwest CLASSICS he dropped. Fab
and I were seriously losing our minds. (On a side note, we must have been
the oldest people in the joint, because no one seemed to be freaking out
nearly as much as we were about the classics ;)

At one point I seriously busted out the "Chicago Hop" a la 1995. Too funny!

After Sneak's set, I was talking with Brian (or was that Brett? I can
never remember which of those B3 guys is which...) and he mentioned that
Sneak had specifically named "1997" as the year he was feeling that night.
 Ah, 1997. A good year.

And then for Wally... definitely worth the wait. Another hour of SOLID
dancing. Good times.

I only stayed for about a half an hour of Mes' set before I couldn't keep
my eyes open anymore. By the way, did anyone check out the "I'm a House
Gangster" shirt Mes was rocking? Nice.

I had a FANTASTIC time at the Hawt Beatdown and I can't wait for the next
Hawt party.

BRING ON THE SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
