This summer my friend to took me to a TINY little bar with a TINY little
dancefloor in Culver City of all places to hear some of the BEST FUNK I've
ever heard in my life, and on a MONDAY night of all nights!

Following that 1st Monday I spent EVERY Monday of my summer (when I don't
work) in this delightful little place, filling a gap in my musical
knowledge I didn't even know was missing!

As I have this Tuesday off for Veterans Day, this Monday night is the
first time I will have the opportunity to go back there since I went back
to work in August.  (I don't go out on school nights, and my students
thank me for that :)

I invite you to check it out for yourself and see what the hell I am
raving about.  You might not even recognize a SINGLE record ALL night
(most were pressed before you were born) but you'll probably want to dance
to EVERY one.  I know I do.
