So, first off. Sneak and myself would like to thank you guys for coming
out to Sneaks birthday party. We had a lot of fun and we are glad that
most of you had fun too.
So, to let you guys know about the venue and the security.
First, it was Versus' first night ever open to the public, so they had
everyone there(i'm talking everyone), all bartenders, all security, all
waitress', as you can tell they were over staffed but that is because they
have never been open to the public.
second, the permit for the venue was pulled last friday and at 6pm, i had
no idea if the party was going to happen there. By 7pm, a person on the
city council issued us a special permit for the night. So, it was time to
move forward the best we can.
Thats why there was 3 fire marshalls there all night long!
I pleaded with the security and the door girls to help move the line along
and not stand on the dancefloor like nazi's.
by the middle of the night, i did actually get most of the security off
the dancefloor and it seemed to start going pretty well with the dancers
etc.
I knew some people would complain about the staff being everywhere,
obviously most of us love to dance in a dark place to good music.
Overall the venue tried their best to accomodate us.
But, with new managers, new security, fire marshalls, etc, there was bound
to be a few small hiccup's.
The music downstairs was mike b, acid girls, staccatto, and shawn v, and
the venue was trying to not let people down there because they wanted
people upstairs in the main room where you could drink.
so, basically the venue will probably have some growing pains and that is
to be expected. But, overall we were happy with the party.
sorry for any inconvenience.
Why is there such critical people here? I could "rip" a few parties a
weekend about venue, sound, dj's, no props, decorations, etc but that is
just counter productive, maybe some day we will all learn that.
much respect
B3
