Where was Delta Funk?

I went...
CRAZY!
erm.
Friday night- Trevor V, Rob G, one of the Hawt boys @ the OM Happy
Hour @ Wish, then Killswitch Klusterfuk @ Underground SF. Then partied w/ the
drag queens @ Lookout. vote for Charisma!

Sat - Brunched @ my future spot in
the mission. Wore lots of ties. [Kontrol] & Auralism had the best music
imho... until about 6pm, when QBAM dropped the disco, and then Diz and Iz
brought the funk @ the Tweekin float.  Danced in the street til the sun went
down, then hot-tubbed it up with some Nice People before going home to
change.  My homie Trevor Vichas from Portland was dropping tunes for the Short
Bus Kids's party BOUNCE @ Otis. Stayed there til 2, then stopped by the End Up
for the [Kontrol] party, which was packed and seemed off the chain. We were
deterred by the long line and high ticket price, so we decided to go to the ug
w/Doc Martin. He'd just finished his set when we strolled in, and the
following dj blew out half the sound system with his first record. Oops. Met
up with Ben & Maki and some of my seattle crew, danced danced danced til they
turned the lights on at 6am. Mobbed with the Gravity Point crew back to the
End Up, where the
ticket price had risen to $30. (note, the doc party was supposed to be $30
but a friend was working the door and got us in for $10). Went home, ate pho &
had girl talk for a few hours.

Awoke around 3:30 and headed down to the
Stompy Nitty Gritty @ Cafe Cocomo. If you are ever in SF for a holiday
weekend, this is the place to be. The weather was warm and we danced outside
with the sun on our faces. Galen was kinda dubby and then Dead Seal took it
deep. They started the music inside about 8:30 but I was feeling old and my
knees were giving out (damn those knees), so I caught a ride home with a new
girl friend and passed out.

Now I'm back in Seattle and looking forward to
seeing Matthew Dear on wednesday.

Missing the LA sunshine,

~juju
