 I think house music's strength has always been its ability to bring many diverse people together for good times.
Its easy to get away from that message in the week to week party scene..

After 15 years of DJing, starting at raves, I still spin 'house' at raves (house snobs, heres your chance to discredit what I spin as house)? because I love the energy of the kids and the great diversity of the crowd. Most of the kids there are new to the scene and are just 'having it large' - not yet fallen into the 'cool clique' or 'jaded' syndrome of the more experienced scene.

I still attend many 'deep house' events too because I appreciate that style as well.

Respect to this list and all the posters that keep it interesting.

i was talking with some boy's that can definetly take credit assisting keeping
house alive, and my boy said the house scene is dieing.... i was so focused on
the music and the desire for a dance floor that actually has room to dance on,
that i didn't notice the drop in attendance.? im not pointing fingers but the
reason people aren't turning on to house party's is because you have to earn
your spot these days, once house became "COOL" the underground started
developing a mainstream personality.? what ever happend to the "NERD" that
liked house? i thought you had to be a "NERD" to like house.? i hear and see
so many people point and laugh and segerate themselves from those with a
difference in opinion, difference in clothing, difference in music preference.
MUSIC determines peoples style, clothing, personality, crowd and so on. so
when you?discriminate some ones music you?discriminate them and when
you?discriminate people you creat reverse
 discrimination.? how can house grow if people are choosing who can go to the
partys or listen to the music, there is many styles, sexualitys, personalitys,
styles of music that i strongly disagree with but i treat house like a woman
im in true love with and when your truelly in love with a woman you'll do
anything and except anything to keep that love alive. 8 years ago i was
misdirected about house music and raving, i thought it was all about "E" my
boys at delta funk?POINTED me to the path instead of?POINTING at me.? and now
i plan to spend any money i can to simply keep house alive expecting no profit
and yet it wont ever be a deficit in my eyes?soul and heart.?whether their
gay, candy kids, gangsters, rappers, pop people, rockers and the list goes on,
instead of pointing and laughing lets teach and direct and except, because if
we dont house?is going to die and im going to cry. lets be "NERDS"?again and
remember what house is truelly about,
 the music the dance and the vibe. i hope i didnt offend any one in this
message.
