Hey B-
I appreciate this, truly. I know you're the dopeness and that this isnt
the kind of energy you guys would ever harness at your parties. That's
why we love hanging with you anywhere you are and appreciate it when you
come check out the gay functions.
It may not be the right time to be isolating myself with so much at stake
in November. But, it's coming from the fact that I feel like i (and most
of the other gays you know) live my life so out loud ALL THE TIME and am
tired of being the example for change. We seek places where we can be
ourselves and not have to worry about putting ourselves out there, going
the extra mile to change people's minds, or the possibility of
encountering an ignorant fuck, the type of person that would claim to
"love" something like house music but cannot demonstrate the idea of "love
for all" or would only do it to humor their girlfriend. People with "YES
ON PROP 8" banners don't hang out at gay clubs.
I still support my friends as much as possible, you guys, Cade, Jose,
Hawt, Sue etc cause I know that you are real, kind people. But, I'm
honestly at a point where I'd rather risk having my outfit made fun of at
a gay function than being hated on at an "SOCAL house" event just for
being who I am.
Love and Respect,
_A
