This is the best thread ever. Really enjoying it. But if you think you had
problems getting into this massive than you should count your lucky stars you
weren't at Circa 97 at the Grand Olympic when about 10 thousand people who
paid didn't even get in and a full scale riot broke out. Ahhh those were the
days.

I'm going to have to agree with Brett here on this. Every time I go to a
football game, unless you're there an hour early, you might have to wait 45
minutes in line. And they're simply checking a ticket, and maybe a few
purses and bags. They don't have to pat people down to screen for drugs or
weapons. And I'm glad for that. The last massive I attended was a new
years
eve party where someone was stabbed probably 100 feet from me.
There's only
so fast they can go when safety and the law are taken into
consideration.
Besides, people wait 2 hours to ride space mountain, and
this is way more fun
than that.

O.K..I think there is something that all you should know about
massives
and are not taking into consideration. Most of the promoters and
partiers
on here only do and go to small parties. So, check this out.
A few
of you keep bitching about how long it took to get into the party
(ie. 3
hours+) but you need to understand crowds..
When you are doing a large party
20k+ people, you try to figure out how to
get in the most amount of people
per hour into your party with searching
etc..
Monster had at least 50k+
people there and that takes time to get them in.
It does not matter how many
times you have run at a venue, you can only do
what is humanly possible.
If
you get in 5000+ people an hour(they were probbably doing more than
that)
then you are doing a good job.
A massive is not the same as doing a concert
or a USC football game. You
have to search in shoes, Bra's, belt's, purse's,
backpacks, etc. and you
need to make sure they are not getting in fire arms,
drugs, etc. You cant
stop everything but you have to have the security do the
best possible
job. Or as the promoter, you are liable and can be sued later
by patrons,
or parents or both. I know because B3 has been sued for this very
thing.
So, You guys should back off of how long it took to get in. It's
bullshit
to keep talking shit on the promoter when they did the best they can
with
the best security company in the business(CSC).
If they got in 5000pp
an hour that still means that at 9pm, they still
needed to get in 35,000+
people- that is not an easy task!
So, everyone needs to recognize that Reza
did the best possible job and
standing in line just comes with the territory!
STOP ALL THE BITCHING! I am pretty sure most people at the event had a
good
time or they wouldnt keep showing up.
I have no invested interest in go
ventures parties but i do like to throw
big parties and it just sucks that
everyone keeps ripping the promoter
when they have no clue how to do an
event. Especially you promoters that
have never thrown a party over 2000 pp.
It's a joke to listen to everyone
"dis" when they havent ever pulled heads
and probably never will.
It's not easy, so give him a break and like my mom
always said "If you
dont have something nice to say- Dont say it all".
peace
brett
