My faves of summer '08...

Bodyock, Joplin & Saynt @ Lightning In a Bottle. All of them played amazing sets that made an amazing party even better.

Since summer is just about over, i was wondering what evryone's favorite
sets of the summer were.

This summer went a LOT differently than I planned, and I spent more time
going to NON-house events than I ever have before. i definitely heard a
lot less house than other stuff. Weird.

Anyway, here are my favorite sets of summer 2008, in chronological order:

Sneak at the Hawt Beatdown (I think it was called that? I knew from the
FIRST record he played that it was going to be a great set. Fab and I were
hootin' all night.)

Sneak at the pool (the Flat) Never before have I been motivated to dance
in a bikini, much less dance that hard. I was too happy to even worry
about the fact that I was half naked and probably quite jiggly....

Wally at that tiny little party at Cade's that none of you went to (I
can't remember what it was called... I had the entire back quarter of the
dancefloor in front of the speaker to myself and I danced my freaking ASS
OFF. I even remember Sneak doing a little two-steppin during Wally's
set.)

SNeak at Flabor Days (even though he only played for about 45 minutes, it
was that good... He even played my FAVORITE house record of all time...I
danced the whole time with my eyes closed as I felt my soul being
nourished.)

Now, no one is more surprised than I am that I listed 3 DJ Sneak sets as
the best of summer '08. But SERIOUSLY! This man never let me down even
for ONE MINUTE every time he got on the decks. In fact, I think that I can
officially put him back on my "short list" of favorite DJ's along with
Terrence Parker and Johnny Fiasco. Well done, Sneak.

Okay, what were yours????
