Mr. Bickle and fellow Dynagroovers,

Was anyone besides me insulted by Mr. Bickle's message?

Mr. Bickle, was your message intended to be condescending, or did I just
read it that way?

Because PLENTY of "people" (to quote your message) have certainly NOT
given up on "trying to convey "content" through text" via the internet.
In fact, I would say most people do not consider the internet to be "a
otherwise dithered platform" (sic).

So here's an honest question for you, Mr. Bickle, since you seem to be
inside that particular circle (and for anyone else in that circle):

Are the Sarcastic parties STRICTLY promoted by word of mouth these days?
(No online or print promotion?) I ask because I never see ANYTHING about
them. Although I wouldn't have been able to go anyway, I missed the beach
party bc although I was told about it in advance by someone I see once in
a while, I never heard anything later about the exact location. I was told
after the party that the info was only disseminated via text messages.

So does that mean that SD is not interested in inviting anyone who is not
already a "regular"? Because I'm sure there are plenty of people out
there like me who don't consider themselves "cows" and don't need to be
told "how to ride a bike." We just tend to hang in different circles than
the people who throw the Sarcastic parties. All we need is an address, and
we can easily hang with the the "regulars." (In fact, I'd say if I try
hard enough, I can probably dance circles around most of them without
crashing into them, spilling their drinks, or stepping in their shoes. ;)

I agree with Joe that "Hype is poison." But do you really consider all
online promotion to be "hype", and therefore "poison?"

Was I informed correctly that admission to the most recent SD party was
$35? Because if that is so, I am mathematically competent enough to
realize that not too many people are needed for the people funding the
event to break even. Perhaps this reason explains the lack of more
