It's surprising to me how a simple question about why one particular party
that used to be promoted on the Dynagroove list is no longer promoted here
turned into such a lengthy discussion. Regardless, I think public
discourse is necessary for positive change. As such, I further reply:

I hope that anyone on this list who is officially associated with the
Sarcastic Disco parties understands that I never had an issue with them.
I simply asked a question because I wondered why the parties are no longer
posted on Dynagroove.

What I DID have an issue with was the reply I got from Joe Rodriguez (with
my name in the subject line) that I read as being VERY condescending. Per
his second reply, I don't think he MEANT to be condescending, but I know
based on the many private replies I received that I was not the only one
who read it that way. In further response to Tina's reply:

Yes, more than one person gave me incorrect information regarding this
party. I knew well in advance that I would be out of town the weekend the
SD party was happening, so I asked several people who I thought would have
been there about it, only to find out that none of them went. It was at
this time that I was misinformed about the price. I was SHOCKED when a
friend told me he didn't go b/c he heard it was $35, bc I couldn't imagine
that crew asking for such a steep door cover.

I have been to MANY SD's over the years. I think I have gone to fewer of
them over the last few years because no one that I talk to regularly ever
seems to want to go to them. I went to one last spring (by myself) as
well. I was bummed to have to miss the most recent one, but I was out of
town that weekend. I probably would go to more of them if I were reminded
about them on this list. After having spent over a decade going to
parties, I am just not willing to SEARCH for parties. I subscribe to the
Dynagroove list so that I don't have to search anywhere else. Usually, I
don't need to look anywhere else because it's all right here. My original
post was simply a question about why the SD parties are no longer posted
on this list. I never really got a straight answer to that question. Oh
well...
