omg - my feet still hurt so bad and i am utterly grateful that today is my
day off right now.

i thought cade's choice in venue was incredibly smart. the place felt "full"
all night long and the energy felt high. the patio was the perfect size and
the open garage door let in a wonderful breeze just as it was getting a
little too hot in there. the venue owner was a cool dude to boot.

i didn't get to hear anyone's set the whole way through because i was
darting in and out.

nonfiction did a great job opening up and played a smart opening set. i
specifically say smart because the ability to program your set for the time
slot you are playing is a sign of a quality dj in my opinion.

cade is always way to critical of himself. that is all i need to say there.

and then there was honey claws. it is too bad there was only 1/2 of them
because with all of them i bet the would have sent the energy level through
the roof. i loved them. and to cade's question - i love love LOVE when cade
thinks outside the box a little and takes a chance. they were fun and it was
something different. what i love about "white guys shouldn't rap" is that
it is obvious that jon doesn't really seem to care and it just so OUT there
doing his little white boy rap thing and it is therefore AWESOME!

and so like 9.5 years later, i think i have finally run out of superlatives
and adjectives to describe diz. i just love him.

as a final thought, i've never experienced such diverse and somewhat strange
reactions to the distribution of free otter pops.

zoki.
