[Dynagroove] dynagroove Digest, Vol 69, Issue 10

I hate to be negative about this but its amazing that so many of you thought
this party was good when some of you spend so much time dissing some
parties.
The party was lame! Sound was not good to say the least.
The layout of the timeslots sucked!
To have some sort of hip hop in one room and then have greenskeepers on
after them - lame!
There were a couple good looking girls, but there at every party and that
definitely doesn't make a party good-although it helps.
Jason blakemore and the guys I'm sure ripped it up. But, hardly anyone was
there for it and I heard that the sound was not good for the set.
NO VIBE AT ALL!
And to top it off, the promoter is very shady. I heard he didn't pay the
full fee for the greenskeepers and he didn't' give any money back to his
investor. VERY SHADY!
So, if I were you guys, I would NOT support this promoter in the future
Just my 2 cents. I hope I didn't offend any of you.
 b

I had a good time at war of the roses. I had funny playing and loved the
greenskeepers live. they were full of energy and sick sick sick..

I played early 10 - 11 but got to play an extra half hour with zack hill
since the DJ after me was not able to make it... So we got some pre-solid
gold C&Z music factory!! Woo hoo!

Some of the positives of the party

1) great location
2) good taklent
3) lots of excited familiar faces
4) running into a lot of old school peoples
5) No lines for the bathroom
6) Hamburgers ready to be eaten

SOme of the negative

1) rain I think effected turn out
2) the sound system in the back room had no bass and effected some of the
performances in my opinion (RAW Trance Oscure especial)
3) Sound system in the main room was good but when the live shows came on.
lots of feedback and the levels were not there

I thought it was a great party and had a good time and slept happily till 1
PM on sunday because of it

Hopefully I get to play next years as well!!

The Cupcake Pussy Posse was excellent!
Two lovely ladies cavorting artfully to the beat around a hula hoop
extended 10 feet in midair - without a safety net.

Great crowd.. some of the most beautiful women I've seen at a party in
awhile.

A lot of old schoolers stayed late to support Me & Mike's closing dubstep
set. Thanks guys!

Family .. what's up?
I hope this email catches you in health and great spirits.

Please check out the newest release on Deeper Shades Recordings:

Now exclusively available as a pre-release at Traxsource
http://www.traxsource.com/index.php?act=show&fc=tpage&cr=titles&cv=30527

Deeper Shades Recordings opens its second year of releases with a strong
EP by a fresh new artist.
Salvatore Agrosi is an up and coming 20 year old producer from Italy
whose love for Deep House shines through in his tracks.

'Spirit EP' is only Salvatore's second solo release but the deep techy
'Spirit' as well as the organic & percussive 'I Can' have been secret
weapons in label head Lars Behrenroth's sets for quite some time now. It
doesn't come as a surprise that Lars decided to work out two remixes for
the title track himself while Salvatore's 2nd project MindTech delivers
a solid and driving remix for 'I Can'.

Salvatore Agrosi - Spirit EP - Deeper Shades Recordings 008
1. Spirit (Original Mix)
2. Spirit (Lars Behrenroth Space Valley Mix) *
3. Spirit (Lars Behrenroth Revival Mix) *
4. I Can (Original Mix)

Oh the greenskeepers were the best part of my night! That was the band you
were recording right Cade? I hate to sound rookie but I didn't know who they
were till then, I am definetlty a new fan after that high energy
performance, and the bass player was creative and insane! The good insane
though.

Sent from my iPhone the 16 gig mutha fuckas, yup it's white.

i also had a great time at 'war of the roses' and for the most part agree
with cade.

i have been dying to hear greenskeepers music since their polo club release
and they didn't disappoint me. really high energy and a lot of fun live.

positives....
1) great location
2) good talent
3) lots of excited familiar faces
4) No lines for the bathroom
5) Hamburgers ready to be eaten
8) nice art gallery

negatives...
1) rain I think effected turn out
2) the sound system in the back room had no bass and effected some of the
performances in my opinion
3) Sound system in the main room was good but when the live shows came on.
lots of feedback and the levels were not there
4) it was too bright inside the rooms
5) i was not fond of the dj/performer rotations. since they were allotted
one hour sets, it was hard to get into a groove then have it abruptly change
to another style of music. while i understand mixing it up...maybe the djs
should be given longer time slots then?

but i got my dance on and had a great time!!

best, zoki

Yup i was there too sporting the splat! Jason spun a pounding set draining
all my juice and even the reserves hidden deep in the soul. Those were some
sexy beats near the end dude, you had women moving like serfants filled
with venomus love.

I had a good time at war of the roses.

It seemed that during the show the only thing people were really there to
see was

Talent positives and what seemed to attract the most people.

1. RAW Oscure and Jason Blakemore on 6 turntables
2. Living Legends
3. Hipp-e
4. the locals playing outside in the rain
5. J. Splat Kills DUB STEP! Mike played pretty good too.

Talent negatives:

1. Everyone left after the Living Legends got off stage and the bar closed.

Positives about the party in general:

1. people got dressed up
2. a ton of old school heads in the place
3. great location
4. great sound in the outdoor area

Negatives:

1. they needed to hire a better sound guy for the main and back room or just
the right one for the job.
2. all the performers need to show up for sound Check!
3. rain is never good for a party
4. weird line-ups or order of dj's

Good Job Teknowledge!
 See you next time.

Lucas

P.S. Go to Sloppy Kisses this Friday!

I had a good time at war of the roses. I had funny playing and loved the
greenskeepers live. they were full of energy and sick sick sick..

I played early 10 - 11 but got to play an extra half hour with zack hill
since the DJ after me was not able to make it... So we got some pre-solid
gold C&Z music factory!! Woo hoo!

Some of the positives of the party

1) great location
2) good taklent
3) lots of excited familiar faces
4) running into a lot of old school peoples
5) No lines for the bathroom
6) Hamburgers ready to be eaten

SOme of the negative

1) rain I think effected turn out
2) the sound system in the back room had no bass and effected some of the
performances in my opinion (RAW Trance Oscure especial)
3) Sound system in the main room was good but when the live shows came on.
lots of feedback and the levels were not there

I thought it was a great party and had a good time and slept happily till 1
PM on sunday because of it

Hopefully I get to play next years as well!!

Hey Everybody,

We did a date check a couple weeks ago and decided that we had a little time
to do another GRAVITY before the next baby gets here.

Anyway we have been doing gravity at least one a year since December 2001.
This year we decided to do something a little different.

We want to take a poll here on dynagroove about your favorite dj's

We are talking anywhere in the united states:

Name your top five favorite dj's please exclude yourself if you are a dj.

Try to stay within California if possible I will start by naming a few of my
favorites:

Mark E. Quark

Eric Davenport

Tony Hewitt

Barry Weaver

Sunshine Jones

So now all of you name five favorites.

Thanks,

Lucas and the rest of Distant Beat

Hello-

Is anyone going to this on Friday? Rye Rye and Larry Tee was fun,
but the Avalon is just plain weird. I keep giving events there a
chance, and I'm not sure why. I think it's cursed with bad party
energy that not even an open bar could take away. Roll call if you're
going; let's break the curse!

Check out these videos of Larry Tee. That's us going crazy and
chirping for FAKE BLOOD even though that track Mars is like so May
2008! :)
