Thanks to amy and all of you on this list who attended the 2nd Sloppy Kisses. As many of you know the theme of this party(all my parties) have somewhat of a personal meaning. I like to have fun and see others enjoying themselves just as much. This time around was a great time and fun had by all. I'm very proud of my crew who came together and gave the support and love I needed this time around. Also, the incredible talent from the headliners and our local heroes who closed it out was well worth LOOSING money on this party. In fact most parties are run at a loss when trying to appease so many people and random scenarios present themselves. I still had a great time because like vegas, you have to save to loose it and then it's not as bad. All the time was worth while, making new friends and watching old ones stumble and smile. There's so many to thank individually but I think I will see you soon enough. Look for more in July from your MAUF

It's no surprise to me that Joesh agreed with Aaron's post that, "I think
if you're going into it with hopes or need to make money, you're doing it
for the wrong reasons."

At MAUF parties, I can ALWAYS tell that Joesh has put a LOT of love in to
the party, and while I am sure he hopes to at least break even, I know
that is certainly not the focus.

Sloppy Kisses was no different. I had SUCH a great time. I like that
venue, and I really appreciated that the two rooms had two totally
different sounds going on.

While both Miles and Olivier both held it down, I have to say that the the
MAUF RESIDENTS (Chuck, Joesh and Manny) were the real MVP's of the night.
I can't remember the last time I walked into a party and IMMEDIATELY
started dancing. But that's exactly what happened at SLoppy Kisses. ANd
I really never stopped the whole night. Both Chuck and Joesh played
AMAZING opening sets. I kept running back and forth between the two
rooms.

As excited as I was to hear Olivier, I just could not drag myself out of
the second room once Manny went on. I had no idea that Manny had such a
RANGE of OUTSTANDING records. Wow!!!

I only made it until about 3 and had to head home, so I didn't really get
to hear Miles...

Overall I had a GREAT time at Sloppy Kisses and can't wait for the next
MAUF party.

Joesh, I would LOVE to go to a party where it's just you, Chuck and Manny
on the decks all night. If nothing else, let's do it at my house!!!!

It sort of sucks that parties are business. I think if you're going into
it with hopes or need to make money, you're doing it for the wrong
reasons. That's a little naive I know but I think money is a big reason
partiers talent and promoters all get jaded and parties flop or just
aren't fun.

Have you talked to them recently Brett?

I am pretty sure he paid everyone involved with this event.

If he didn't have the money right of way,
no biggie as long as they get it right?

Who didn't he pay in his production?

I think I know everyone involved.

Well anyway I am not gonna make a big deal about someone elses party.

I don't take investors I throw away my own money.

Whose money did you lose on your last party?

Good luck on your next event.

Lucas

Subject: [Dynagroove] shady promoters/lucas?

Lucas- So Mike voss is not shady huh?

He did not pay Greenskeeprers in Full- FACT!

He did not pay his production people in full- FACT!

He did not pay one cent to his investor- who he bullshitted into giving
him
money- FACT!

Sound was Crap! FACT!

So, if that is what you call a stand up promoter and good guy. Then I must
be crazy!

And if he screws one of my friends for money, I'll make it anybody's
business I like.

He is the reason investor's get jaded, and customers get sick of going
out.

But, maybe you like all that type of stuff at your parties?
