Yes, I'm a little late with this one, but I HAD to give big-ups.

Sunday's Solid Gold was so much fun. Thank you cade and zack for playing all
the fun, funky, nostalgia-laced favorites. Thanks fab and kirdy for working
the door and bar. Thanks Joesh and Phil for workin the grill. And thank you
zoki for wearing those shorts!

Seriously tho, dancing during the day under one of LA's historic bridges in
the depths of danky downtown was surreal. I found myself several times
sitting back and taking it all in thinking to myself "now, this is
underground." Again I felt so fortunate to live in this city, where party
promoters  prepare events such as this.

Cos I love outdoor parties, man. From dancing poolside or on a rooftop. But
this venue was raw, and it totally worked. In my opinion, it was the
quintessential urban downtown underground experience. The vibe was so
welcoming , everyone was excited to be there, fellowshipping, dancing,
drinking and eating. All the while, cars zoomed by overhead, junkyard dogs
barked and vagrants danced and stared as they shuffled by.

Great party. Really lookin forward to the next get-together under the
bridge. If you slept on this one, I get it, it was a holiday weekend. But
you'd be wise not to miss the next. Fo real!
