On May 7th CHAKA comes to us by way of Tighten Up, a monthly Wednesday
affair at Zanzibar (Santa Monica) devoted to soulful, jazz, deep, afro
house and broken beats.  An aficionado of up-tempo goodness, CHAKA
routinely delivers an igniting mix of deep, soulful house, broken beat
and other delights to lift the spirits.  Just added to the line-up is
producer/ drummer, SIMON STAR, who will be delivering a live
performance by way of drum alongside CHAKA & DJ KERRY. Join us on this
night as CHAKA, SIMON and DJ KERRY take you higher … to that special
place.  :)


SWEET SOUL features the best in house, disco and rare grooves on the
1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month. The club specializes in a $5 menu
from 7-10, $5 drink specials all night, spacious outdoor patio, bottle
service, available valet parking, an open dance floor, plenty of
booths to take a break from dancing and No Hollywood BS. And to top it
off, SWEET SOUL is FREE all night!!
