[Dynagroove] Breaks vs House? DnB at Family?

There was such a genre as breakbeat house that emerged for awhile in the mid
90's.
DJs were playing this style at early Family & Fresh Produce parties in LA.
Tracks like 'Happy Clappers - I believe' and 'UFG - Bell Tup' and 'Size 9 - I
am ready' were huge anthems.

Perhaps Breakbeat House gave way to the faster yet soulful drum n bass that
found its way stateside shortly thereafter..
Producers LTJ Bukem and Omni trio built tracks around sped up breaks but with
a house sensibility & soul to them.
That style, also termed 'intelligent drum n bass' was shortlived, and within a
year or so fractioned off to the dubby True Playaz  jump up style, then to a
darker, more aggressive Ed Rush style dnb.

p.s. I may have been one of the first (and only?) DJs to spin Drum & Bass at a
Family event, back in 97..

 can anyone confirm if they continued to have drum n bass at a Family since
then?
