This is too bad too hear.  It is too bad that a promoter like Sam that is active on this list and who seems to straddle the line between "Hollywood" and "House" apparently has ego issues.  I can understand if there are limited spots available or if a promoter promises a specific number of spots to friends/contacts/whatever - but it seems like you would be understanding to this if he took the time to explain such a situtation.  Boo Hoo for that shit.  That's truly some fake shit that will be acknowledged.  

Everything in life is temporary and the sooner you realize that the sooner you see the absurdity of being "cool".  Makes me laugh.
