I went Saturday as well. My third year going, i'm in my
30's and had a
blast.Such a fun time. I didn't make it down there til late
late,
had issues
getting in (they close the artist list when they want, how
they
want) but i
kinda expected this b/c it happens every year. That being
said, once
inside -
its like whoa - just the sheet # of people. I met a 20
year old who
was at his
first rave. He was with his 24 year old brother...and
he loved it.
And I loved
sharing his first experience.Nowhere else i'd rather
be that night.

I went on Saturday and wanted to see what everyone else thought.  The
most commonly expressed opinion on here about massives sounds
something like
"stupid kids" or "dumb ravers" or some other form of
shame sprinkled with a
little elitism.  I'm 28 and I still go to
these
things occasionally because
frankly the talent is worth going for and
I actually have fun.  There wasnt
any good straight up house music on
the lineup Saturday, so we navigated
through the electro-house and
progressive areas.  A group of about 5 friends
went just before dark,
got in for free, didnt run into any line problems, so I
have to say I
had a great time.  It was really intense to see how many people
were
there and it made me think about how many of these people will be
graduating into 'underground' parties in the near future.  Maybe it's
a sign
of hope for what seem to be sort of stagnant, under-attended
underground
parties or maybe it's a sign that we are all going to get
crushed.

Yeah just saw the news the Colosseum has a  temporary ban
on raves
because of
incidents of 100's of casualties this could hurt the scene
more than
help.....quite serious stuff.

Percentage wise the event was a success.
200000 heads and only 150
or so
with any sort or reported problem.  Leave it
to the media to spin it
and
dwell on only the negative.   What about the other
199850 people
that had no
incidents.    Big respect to Pasquale's vision.  I
hope for the best
and
future shows.
