<P>Design Forms was at a cool location in HW and the art work/artist was a great touch. I love Lance because he's a little harder than most of the L.A. house dj's and he kept me dancing. I thought Recloose threw down some really interesting tracks. I maybe a little newer to the house scene than some of you (1 year+ going out 2-3 times a week), but I thought the tracks were very different than anything I'd heard before. A little slow for me, somewhat soulful in a few spots, but mostly just a different style than I get to hear around L.A. My friends bailed out early, but I kept staying track after track, wondering what he'd play next. I wouldn't call it experimental either, but it was worth checking out for the variety. Variety is the spice of life, right?! Have a great week...see ya at Colette and Dynagroove! ;)<BR><BR>----Original Message Follows---- </P></DIV>

<DIV></DIV>>that
<DIV></DIV>>recloose was spinning soulful house - i've always known him to be
<DIV></DIV>>hard on the
<DIV></DIV>>experimental tip. but as they say, times change and people change.

<DIV></DIV>I was there as well - I must say recloose really didnt really do it for
<DIV></DIV>me.. mixing was sloppy in the beginning and picked up a little - the tracks
<DIV></DIV>he played werent 'bad' but Im not sure how appropriate it was for a
<DIV></DIV>primetime set. In terms of style - Id say housey-house w/ some dubby
<DIV></DIV>elements - and lots of silly vocals and housey-house-isms.. Like I said,
<DIV></DIV>not really bad, but not really great either. slightly different from the
<DIV></DIV>standard fare - but definatly not enough to call it 'experimental'
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>I still had a great time listening to lance though - just goes to show ya
<DIV></DIV>that some of these local guys can tear it up with the best of em -
<DIV></DIV>unfortunatly I dont see lance on flyers as much as, well a hell of a lot of
<DIV></DIV>djs hes way better than! :)
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV></DIV>all in all - a good time was had - cleared out around 3:30 for some much
<DIV></DIV>needed rest
