ME: No, don't shut up. We don't want story ideas but you're not
talking about story ideas.
I don't disagree with your feelings. As a reader, I never cared much
for continued stories. Oddly enough, I just received the GROO &
RUFFERTO paperback today and I really like the material in "complete"
format a lot more. We're talking about doing another graphic novel
and we're also talking about doing the next mini-series in a slightly
different way...four stories that would be connected but would also be
more self-contained.
As I've mentioned here before, the comic book industry is in a lot of
trouble; many well-known titles are operating at a loss. GROO, in its
present format, is managing a small, reliable profit and this may not
be the time to tamper too much with it. But we probably will.
