My nephew who just turned three was fascinated.  

"That's Groo",I explained.

"Is he a little monkey?"

"No, no...he's ummm, a warrior, a barbarian...see the swords?  Like Conan the Barbarian, only a little dumber...he's slow of mind you see."

"I like the little monkey", he replied.  "Why did it go away?"
