STILL setting aside Rick & Company's assault on Castle Dessebo for the
moment:

> 1. A Sergio illustration appears on both the cover
> and interior of THE COMICS JOURNAL #235, July 2001. There may be other
Sergio items in that
> issue, which celebrates the journal's 25th anniversary, but I didn't get a
chance to look that closely!

Two Panel cartoon (partially reprinted on the cover) of Sergio looking at
TCJ #235 (the 25th Anniv. issue) and then chucking it the garbage.
Shockingly, no Groo in the garbage can or anywhere else, although a MAD
Magazine can be made out.

> 2. A B&W story by Sergio called "Bhutan" appears in DARK HORSE MAVERICK
2001 (Usagi Yojimbo is on the cover).

Another great real life Sergio story. (And has a small Groo.) Worth the
price of the book all by itself, as is the UY cover by Frank Miller(!) and
Stan's UY short. So it's like buying 3 great items for the price of one!
>
> 3. There is a pinup by Sergio in PRIME8 CREATION #1.

A One Page Sergio pin-up. No Groo, but LOTS of Gorillas!!! I LOVE Sergio's
gorillas (the way TGD loves his goats) The different expressions on their
faces and the expressions on those of the Prime8 characters are great, great
stuff. Worth the price of the book. (Don't know about the Prime8 story.
Don't care.)

>
> 4. Sergio's recent Eisner Award winning short story "The Gorilla Suit"
appears in the book
> STREETWISE.

Hey, Sr. Mustache won an Eisner for this real life story! 'Nuff said!

Also, the Groo Library is out. Take care all -Gary G.

PS You'd never guess that my dream "job" would be to be Sergio's art agent
and all around promo guy. (for which I would demand nothing less than 10
kopins a month, or maybe even 5!!!!)
