Kevin;
The Peanut Institute http://www.peanut-institute.org/PeanutFAQs.html
US Customs Service
http://www.customs.ustreas.gov/imp-exp1/comply/peanuts.htm
Columbia Encyclopedia http://bartleby.com/65/pe/peanut.html
This last is most interesting because it refers to peanuts as a member
of the family Leguminosae also known by the common name the "pulse"
family. If you click on the hyperlink to "pulse" from that page, you go
to:
http://bartleby.com/65/pu/pulse2.html
Where they refer to the "pulse" family also known as Fabaceae (which
your sources all provided) aka Leguminosae, which is how they refer to
the family for the rest of the page.
------>Y'know, sometimes I really scare myself, but I find this all
fascinating. Thanks for the links.
So, it sounds like we may have been
arguing that his name is "Mr. Evanier" or "Mark", when in reality it's
both...
------>LOL.
Kevin
PS Next discussion: Bleu Cheese vs. Roquefort vs. Gorgonzola
------>As long as it is in dip form does it really matter?
