ESTABLISHED in 1976, the Eagle Award is one of the comics industry's
earliest established and most coveted international prizes. Such diverse
titles as X-Men, Swamp Thing, Preacher, 2000 AD and MAD have all proudly
featured the Eagle Award emblem on their covers over the past 25 years. 
The following form should be completed as fully as you wish and returned
to us at the above sponsorship address no later than Saturday July 14th,
2001. 

Thank you for helping to decide the readers' favourite comics, creators 
and characters. Based upon your replies, the voting form featuring the
top-scoring nominees will be published in August.

NORTH AMERICAN SECTION

The following award nominations cover creators and work published in the 
US and Canada only (irrespective of the country of origin of the work or
the nationality of its creators) with nominations based solely on work 
published last year. PLEASE MAKE ONLY ONE NOMINATION IN EACH CATEGORY. NOT
ALL SECTIONS NEED TO BE COMPLETED.

1/1 FAVOURITE COLOUR COMICBOOK (established prior to, but continuing into
last year)

1/2 FAVOURITE BLACK & WHITE COMICBOOK (any genre, established prior to, 
but continuing into last year)

1/3 FAVOURITE NEW COMICBOOK OF 2000 (any genre, black & white or colour)

INTERNATIONAL SECTION

The following awards cover creators and creations from throughout the 
world, including the US and UK, with nominations based solely on work

2/11 FAVOURITE COMICS STORY WHICH APPEARED, BEGAN OR ENDED DURING 2000
(single issue, story or serial. Comic name and approximate story title or
approximate issue number(s) are acceptable where exact details are not to
hand)

2/12 CHARACTER MOST WORTHY OF OWN ONGOING TITLE (can have been created
before last year, and may have had prior series/miniseries. Please also
state main title in which character appeared)

2/13 FAVOURITE SUPPORTING CHARACTER IN COMICS (character who does not 
appear in own title. Please also state main title in which character

2/14 FAVOURITE COMICS COVER PUBLISHED DURING 2000 (please name publication
plus issue number or story title - or description if not known, in

BRITISH SECTION

The following award categories cover creators and work published in the UK
only (irrespective of the country of printing, and determined by the
publisher's postal address being in the UK), with nominations based solely
on work published in 2000. PLEASE MAKE ONLY ONE NOMINATION IN EACH 
CATEGORY.
NOT ALL SECTIONS NEED TO BE COMPLETED.

3/1 FAVOURITE BRITISH COMIC (newsstand or direct market provided over two
issues were published last year. Any genre, although US or UK reprints and
title comprised primarily of text material with less than 50% strip 
content are not eligible)

3/2 FAVOURITE COMIC STRIP TO APPEAR IN A UK COMIC OR MAGAZINE (series 
title only please, unless a one-shot story)

3/3 FAVOURITE BRITISH SMALL PRESS TITLE (featuring at least 50% comics
material)

INTERNET SECTION

4/1 FAVOURITE COMICS RELATED WEBSITE

4/2 FAVOURITE COMICS E-ZINE (a magazine produced solely for the worldwide
web)

4/3 FAVOURITE WEB-BASED COMIC (daily, weekly, monthly)

Any nationality, any creator, company or entrepreneur whose achievements
have improved the industry, most entertained you or increased public
awareness. Please do not nominate products in the category.
