And speaking of Hitchhiker's, if you loved the books, you should hear the BBC 
Radio dramas that originally inspired the book.  It is in 12 episodes.  The 
first 6 are identical to the first 2 books, but in a different order.  The 
7-12 episodes (called "fits") are totally different from anything else.  I 
find the radio series different but no less entertaining than the books.  
They even answer several questions about Arthur Dent's predicament 
differently than the book does.
