For those interested,

With the publication of MAD No. 411, which hit the local comic book store today, Sergio has now appeared in 300 consecutive issues of MAD (with 335 overall appearances), the third longest streak in MAD history!  If not for missing MAD No. 111 due to illness, he would the record for the longest streak.  Congrats to Sergio!

Side note: the original cover of MAD No. 411 was changed to a more patriotic theme at the last minute due to the events of Sept 11.  The original cover can be seen in an ad on page 2 of MAD XL No. 12.  Gary might be interested in that cover since it depicts the New York City Marathon.  However, although coincidental, the yanked cover also includes a joke deemed distasteful in light of Sept 11 events.  

Other Sergio Sightings:

"MAD Neumanisms" is a new book of Alfred E. Neuman quotes that comes in a collectors display box.  Both the book and box have numerous Aragones illustrations.

"Spy vs Spy: The Complete Casebook" (which should be renamed "The ALMOST Complete Casebook" since it is missing a Spy vs Spy episode from MAD No. 123) has a Spy vs Spy parody by Aragones and a three page tribute to Antonio Prohias by Aragones with illustrations and a photo Aragones with Prohias.
