[Groop]Dark Horse Miniatures

I just opened Sets 1 and 2 of the old Dark Horse Groo Miniatures, and had a 
couple of questions.  In set 1, there are two identical pieces of the Sage's 
dog. Is this normal?  Also, there are two pieces, one a hand pointing, the 
other what appears to be the top of Minstrals intrument...where exactly do 
these pieces fit?
