Hi Folks!

Fellow Groopie Chris Haxton recently discovered an full page original art
advertisement for The Death of Groo in Video Jack #3.  It's amazing to me
that I haven't run across this before.  Congratulations Chris on a great
Groo Sighting!!  I need to send you a prize.  You want a Swedish Groo?

I would think the ad would be in other Epic comics from the same period,
although what period that would be is a little confusing, at least to
someone like me.  Apparently Video Jack and most of the Epic line (with the
notable exception of Groo) ran pretty far behind schedule. Or maybe ahead of
schedule.  Or maybe there was no schedule and they just guessed a lot.

Video Jack #2 actually came out in November, 1987, but it has an Epic-Grams
page that includes a checklist for August & September.  Included in the
checklist is Groo #34 & #35, which came out (on time) in December & January.
The checklist also lists Video Jack #2 under September.

Video Jack #3 came out in March, 1988.  The Death of Groo came out in late
November, 1987 and the ad VJ #3 even says "Coming in November."   The
checklist has The Death of Groo and Video Jack #3 under January.   So you've
got one item listed as coming out two months after it actually came out,
another item listed as coming out two months before it actually came out,
all on a checklist printed in one of the publications and four months after
the one other item was published.

I have a headache.  If anyone runs across the ad in another Epic
publication, please let me know.
