Hello Groop!! Had a great time in San Diego. I was lucky and got one of the
Groo buttons on Thursday before they were all gone. Got to say hi to Sergio
and Mark and Stan, and that other Stan.....the Man. I even said hi to Gary
and his lovely wife who gave me a Groo bracelet, thank you very much. The
mulch bars were great as well Carolyn, thank you very mulch. The fast draw
competition was the best, with Sergio and Scott Shaw! breaking up the room. I
had a great time. The voice actors panel had a fun moment with a Peter Faulk
story and Gary Owens told a funny story about Jonathan Winters, but I wish
Evanier would have a script or something prepared so we could see these guys
in action, something few of us rarely get to see, you're spoiled Mark, you get
to watch this magic happen all the time. For someone who has never been in a
sound studio, it is simply amazing to hear those voices coming out of normal,
real people. I am very grateful to Mark for bring as these talented actors to
the con, but the voices are what I go to these panels to see and hear. The
actors actually doing the voices!!! This panel has turned into 20 minutes of
introductions a few delightful stories, and then a question from the audience
on how to break into the business, then times up......see ya next year. And
I'll be back next year. Just to be around that many comic book fans at one
time in one place is unbelieveable. I don't think that I visited half of the
booths in 5 days, and I tried. The place is huge!!! Chris Mc
