Okay, here we go again...

A couple of years back, I started making plans for a
trip to Middletown, New York with fellow Groopers TGD,
Unirabbit & Said Azim. It was there that we would
visit that most elusive of roads: GROO STREET!!!

Upon learning of our pilgrimage, my cowardly vehicle
scuttled itself, so our trip never quite happened. (As
some may recall, a previous car of mine expired
shortly after I affixed license plates reading GROO. I
guess ships aren't the only vehicles Groo sinks!!!)

Well, I STILL don't have a new car, but I DO have a
friend who recently moved near there (my buddy Dave,
who some of you may remember from the San Diego Con
last year). 

Anyway, the weekend of February 15 I'm going to be
renting a van to pick up some furniture, so since I'll
have wheels for the weekend, I figure I'll head up
there on Saturday or Sunday and not only visit GROO
STREET, but also that most wondrous of places which I
mentioned one other time, GROO SHOES!!! (Which
confuses me, since the Mendicant is barefoot...) 

Ultimately, if there's a GROO STREET and a GROO SHOES,
perhaps there's actually someone named GROO living
there? If so, do I actually want to meet this person,
or should I RUN RUN RUN!!!?

Anyway, if any of you New  York Metropolitan area
Groopers wish to join me on Groo Trek 2002, give me a 
yell and we can try to hook up!!!

(One thing worries me. If I buy a pair of shoes from
GROO SHOES, do I then have to worry about my feet
getting me into frays?)

If it is possible to buy a quantity of shopping bags
that say GROO SHOES on them, I'll try to get enough to
send to everybody who wants one. At the very LEAST I
have to get some for Sergio, Mark, Stan, Tom, Scott
Allie and other Dark Horse folks...CALM DOWN GARY, I
WAS GONNA MENTION YOU! STOP HYPERVENTILATING!!! 

Hmmm, on the off chance these folks haven't heard of
the Groo comic book, I'll bring a couple extra copies
of Death & Taxes # 1 & 2 to  hand out!
