Hello. I hope you're all visiting my website. Here's some stuff...
1. I just got my copies of GROO: DEATH AND TAXES #2 and I find that
they printed my old mailing address (which is no good anymore) on the
letter page. Do not use this.
2. I'm assembling the letters page for #4 in a day or so and could use
e-mailed letters. If you've never had a letter printed in a GROO
letter page and you send me one that makes any sense at all, it's
almost certain to see print. I'll even consider letters from folks
who've written before.
3. We're currently drawing up plans for a GROO ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL
book that would be published later this year. At the moment, it's
looking like a 128-page paperback and here are several things that
we're discussing including...
-- Reprint of the first GROO story from DESTROYER DUCK #1
-- The entirety of Pacific Comics GROO #1
-- The GROO story we did for WIZARD
-- The LI'L GROO story that ran in a Dark Horse special, only now in
color.
-- The GROO trading cards, printed 4 or 6 to a page, with the backs
set in more readable type.
-- A number of covers and intro pages that Sergio did for foreign
editions.
-- Some of the puzzle and feature pages from the Epic issues.
-- A couple of unpublished sketches by Sergio
-- A long article by me on experiences doing the comic
And here's where you come in, Groopers. We're not married to any of
this. What would YOU like to see in such a book? Does any of the
above especially interest you? Not interest you? Any other ideas for
rare GROO material we might include?
4. Sergio is off for Florida to appear at the Mega-Con this weekend.
I'm not going. He will be a guest at the Wondercon in Oakland in
April. I may be going. Not sure yet. If I do, we'll have a big Groo
panel there. If not, there will probably still be some sort of panel
spotlighting Sergio and his work.
That is all.
