That's a dang good question.
 
I know that Cerebus is the longest running 'independent' title under the
same artist/creator - Dave Sim. And someone told me that Savage Dragon
is close behind also as having the longest continuous run under the same
creator and independent title.
 
Groo would be different. Oldest comic still created by same
artist/creator(s).
 
Again, I'm pretty sure that Cerebus beats out Groo in this category.
Cerebus first saw publication in 1977 and has been going since. I don't
believe Groo saw comic publication that early.
 
Groo could get it though. Cerebus will stop at issue #300 finally
bringing the story to a close. So Groo just needs to continue for
several years after Cerebus' end :-)
