~~~ Ruben BABY!!!!!  I'm afraid southern California on Aug. 1-4 is as close
as I'm going to get.  I'm terrified enough of flying as it is.  2 planes
and eight hours in the sky!  Yes!  I'm going to keep that stewardess busy
with the alcohol.  I hope she wears her sneakers that day.
Just Kidding !!!! Welcome Back Nate !!! Haven't
missed much. Gary still hates Shane, and everyone
else just talks about Groo. Can you imagine that? A
Groop of people around the world dedicated to Groo the
Wanderer that actually talks about Groo. Scary.
You see? Some things never change.
~~~ Gary still hates Shane?  S'okay.  Shane still hates me.  I'm sorry
things have been slow. I just finished DEATH & TAXES last week. Loved
it. Loved it, loved it. I didn't feel smashed over the head with the
deeper social commentary this time. (It was there, and there's NOTHING
wrong with deeper social commentary... but it didn't feel as overt this
time and I appreciate the more subtle approach). And of course, the art
was great. I'm looking forward to meeting the whole GROO team this
year. Stan Sakai stopped by my booth at Chicago Con 2000, and he was one
of the nicest guys in the biz. USAGI continues to be a priority on my
reading list.
