Hello Groop!  Some of you may remember me!

On the spur of the moment I thought, 'what the hell?'  and signed up
again, 
after lo these many moons.

So who's here that *I* remember?  Gary for sure.... Shane I know...

I guess I'll recap for the old folks and introduce to the new folks.

I'm Nate Piekos.  I was on the Groo list in the 90's.  Contributor to 
things like the Groop Awards, Guess the Grooper, some contests, etc.

At the time I was drawing an indie book called THE WHOLE ENCHILADA, of 
which, the Groop members were my largest readership.  Before I exited
stage 
left from the Groop I also founded Blambot Comic Fonts and Lettering.

What have I been doing since then?


Well.... Blambot has grown.  http://www.blambot.com  We're up in the 
400,000+ hits range, and have become a premier online source for  comics

creators to get comic fonts.  Shane Clarke is my stalwart tech genius 
behind all the fancy CGI stuff!  HELLBOY letterer Pat Brosseau is on
staff, 
as well as a great designer friend of mine, Logan DeAngelis.  Blambot
has 
licensed designs to Microsoft, The Gap, Sierra and more, and Blambot
fonts 
have appeared in commercials, ads, Xbox games, t-shirts, CCGs, and just 
about everything else... including comics.  I'm type designer to Havey 
Award winner, Mike Allred (MADMAN, THE ATOMICS, X-FORCE), and in fact, I

just started lettering some projects for Marvel.  (X-FORCE #129 coming
out 
pretty soon).  Things are going so well that I expanded Blambot into a
full 
fledged lettering and design service:  http://www.comiclettering.com.  I
am 
preparing to quit my design job and do Blambot full time very 
soon.  (Amen.... I'm essentially working 2 full time jobs.)

Blambot will have an ten foot exhibitor's booth this year at San Diego 
Con!  It'll be my first time.  We're gonna have some fun, sell some
fonts 
wicked cheap, give away cool stuff, critique some lettering portfolios, 
hopefully score some work, and have a good time.  Shane, his girlfriend,

me, my wife, and Pat Brosseau will be there.  If you're there, stop by!

What about my illustrating you ask?  I'm working on a new LINT McCREE 
MYSTERIES series: http://www.piekosarts.com/lint called ADAM UNLEASHED.
I 
previously self published 3 Lint comics and 2 shorts for anthology 
books.  TWE 8 remains unfinished much to Shane's disappointment.
