Yup, I have a book that has sketches in it by willing artists that I
meet at various Cons. Interestingly, it is usually the artist I'm
meeting that likes to look through the book seeing the different works
by artists they've not met or heard of themselves. I'd never dream of
cutting out one of the sketches and selling it, though.
Another thing to keep in mind is that not all artists can blast of a
quick sketch for a fan. Depending on his/her style, it can often take
several minutes/hours for them to do a sketch that even closely
resembles the work they do in their books. For Sergio he practically
sneezes and it's an identifiable Groo gag. I'm not saying it justifies
it either way, but it's just an observation.....
