AND ANOTHER THING!!!

I got together with Chad Riden for lunch today. Great guy, super
nice... but you all suspected as much already, didn't you? 

It's amazing what can transpire when you get two Groopies
together talking (neither of us being the type to be at a loss
for words). 

We got involved in a serious, deep, meaningful discussion about
the current situation in the Middle East, and how hard it is to
hold onto hope for ANY sort of peaceful resolution to such a
complicated situation, how it's hard to be a compassionate person
who wants to understand both sides and feel totally powerless to
even IMAGINE HOW the cycle of violence could ever be stopped...
and wouldn't you know we somehow managed to actually bring even
this most devastating topic around to a Groo analogy!!!

Not to trivialize, but we WERE talking about mindless violence,
after all. 

Anyway, Chad was only up here for a couple of days, so hopefully
next time he'll be able to spend more time visiting.  

Remember, anyone who wanders into The Big Apple should give me a
shout if you want to meet for lunch, dinner, a night out, a day
of museum hopping (or hopping in museums, you get the STRANGEST
looks when you do that) or whatever!
