I know this is going to be hard to believe but, the comic industry does n=
ot exactly cater to female readership (GASP!). BUT, when I was working in=
a comic store (in Jersey) quite a few were female. I would say at least =
4 came in on a weekly basis and were there for their fix and NOT because =
of a boyfriend. In fact at my current comic shop a woman works there and =
enjoys comics from all sorts of companies and creators, from X-men to Ver=
tigo. And lastly, not to scare anyone but one of my female customers had =
her letter printed in a Groo issue (can't remember which but I bet Gary k=
nows). Her name was Suki and yes (for those of you who are going to go th=
rough your collections) she was and probably still is (I haven't seen her=
in years) absolutely serious. If you really want to read the letter it i=
s in an issue between 70-85.
