I think it's a predictable response, not an appropriate response. These 
westerners were idiots, would they have held the contest in front of the 
Taliban two years ago, also? It's predictable when religious extremists dictate 
freedom to everyone else in a country, that is unacceptable and indeed 
barbaric. It's unfortunate to say this, but some countries are operating 
precisely as christian countries operated during the christian Crusades. But 
that was nearly a thousand years ago. It's a shame to see some today repeating 
the mistakes of the past. I'm not attacking any fundamentalist religion, just 
pointing out that two wrongs don't make a right.
