No, but while we were not carpooling to the convention, I remember not 
passing him.  I remember it clearly: he was in the opposite lane traveling away from 
our destination.  It did not become quite the topic of conversation in the 
car, "Hey, if we are the Groop NOT going to the convention, where on Earth is 
Gary going?"

And then we didn't laugh lots and did not continue our game of 'I Spy...' 
while not going to the convention.
