The Groo Chronicles were a reprint of all pre-Epic Groo plus a few previously unpublished drawings and one original 4 page story.   This includes everything that was in the 8 Pacific Groos, Destroyer Duck #1, StarSlayer #5, and the Eclipse Special.  There were 6 fat, nicely bound comic books and also all of them together in a hardback book that had a bonus drawing signed by Mark & Sergio.  They all came out in 1989 and still show up on ebay.  -Gary G.  

PS  As for the new Groo, Sergio is still working on the ideas for all the stories.  He & Mark have indicated they want to have a few completely ready before the series is published so there won't be any gaps once they start.  Hence the projection for around the end of 03 or beginning of 04.
