Funny you should mention that book.  I'm turning in my final today in the 
class for which The Gunslinger was required reading.  I did LOVE the 
Lobstrosities, but I can't seem to get into Stephen King as a whole.

Just two more classes to go for the %*&! bachelor's degree!
