frequently, a small run of "artist proofs" are thus separately numbered =
- that might explain the lack of other marketing/packaging, like the =
certificate. ... just a thought.

I finally remembered to check my statue. It has the Groo logo and =
it says #109 of 750, with the 109 obviously handpainted and the 750 =
printed. Underneath that it says "That's all there is, 'cause there =
ain't no more." And underneath that is all the copy right info. =20

Sooooo, Groosagi, yours has a Roman numeral 1 of 750? Cool!! Are =
there any other diferences and what does the "Certificate of =
Authenticity" say? Enquiring Groo maniacs want to know. -Gary G. =20

--------------->Gary, thanks for responding with the info. It was =
both helpful and humbling. Helpful in that I think I am closer to =
unraveling the mystery than before, and humbling in that I am an idiot.=20

I also rechecked my statute (oops, I mean statue. Darn (k, e =
c?) lawyers)and stuff. The numeral is definitely a roman 1. It is hand =
painted in white. Everything else was printed. I didn't check it out =
close enough to see if that was all there was cuz there wasn't anymore. =
I assume it was there. So on its face it appears that I was rewarded =
for my groodication (staunch since pacific). Cool! Cool! Kull!=20

I have a fair number of statues. I believe I have been =
collecting them for about 6 years now. Over those years various things =
have happened to the certificates of authenticity. I believe at first, =
that I stored them in the original box. However, I also know that there =
was a time when I filed the certificates in a folder. Also there are =
various statues where that certificate lay underneath the displayed =
item. At this point I have determined that the Grooo statue certificate =
is neither the first nor the last of these options. Based on the time =
frame involved, if filed the certificate must be in a bin currently =
obstructed by ~ 10 minutes of moving and replacing other bins. That, =
and the ease with which I shall be sidetracked should I open that bin =
have prevented me from searching out the certificate over the weekend. =
Now, I have no specific recollection of ever seeing the particular =
certificate, but then again I read Groo. Could it be that I have some =
kinda knockoff or have I simply unmembered the certificate? I hope the =
latter. In bolstering of that hope I did buy the statue direct from =
Graphitti Design.=20

Which brings me to wonder how could I possibly have gotten the =
first statue. I had asked my cb dealer to get me one, but as that was =
one the first times I asked him to get one he must have doubted my =
commitment, as it never came in. Eventually, in whatever degree =
eventually presents in one slow of mind, I said aww to spell with 'em, =
and ordered direct from GD. That baby (the statue) must have been on =
the market for at least 2 months, and more likely more, before I got it. =
It confuses me. How could I get the first one. Any ideas?=20

  Thanks,=20
