Okay, since I've done this for years and I'm "detail oriented" (I was told
anal retentive sounds bad), here are the numbers _I_ came up with for last
year. Keep in mind that I deleted duplicates and the old "Please
unsubscribe me" messages from people who somehow got on the list and didn't
realize it. Also, if the display name changed several times, I may not have
caught all of them, but I'm sure there's NO surprises in the list. Lastly,
being detail oriented, these are based on CST.
Out of 1862 messages we have The Top 5 Posters for 2002:
1 - Gary (What, Me Err?) Grossman - 293
2 - Larry (Did I Groo... again?) Steller - 174
3 - Mark (Man of 1000 jobs) Evanier - 119
4 - Azamin (Cantona) Zainol Abidin - 89
5 - Eric (Witty name here) Chun - 73
Nate came back to the fold, but hasn't posted as much (39 messages since
June). Likely since he's so busy with all his work! I saw quite a few
people stop by his booth at SDCC, so I think he's probably quite busy.
Kaytee Sumida was also quite busy with 36 messages (she's the one who has
made all the wonderful Groo beadwork seen at SDCC these past few years).
Chris S. and Ruben were next on the list and I personally only posted 28
messages last year (compared to 21 in 2001). We have increased in the
number posts since last year, so perhaps we are "on the rise" again (but
1999 had 4684 messages - I'm not sure if we'll get to that high again, but
you never know). Luckily, I think we still have great messages and info
going back and forth, even if some (like me) end up lurking a lot.
Have a great New Year
Charles
